Understand what’s underneath the surface
Say Goodbye to Varicose and Spider Veins!
In the United States, nearly 50 percent of the adult population suffer from venous insufficiency. The most common forms are spider and varicose veins. In the legs, both conditions result from having weakened or damaged valves in the veins.
What are Varicose Veins?
Varicose Veins are enlarged, bulgy veins that you may see above the surface of the skin. In some cases, they are not visible. Dr. Martin uses ultrasound to check the valve function and blood flow in the veins. Varicose Veins are found most commonly in the legs, but not always.
